October 15, 1980. A 5 am phone call. Answering, Moore would hear the voice of ex-husband Grant Tinker the other end. The news wasn’t good. Moore’s world was set to be turned upside down after hearing what he had to say. The actress discovered her only son, Richie, had died in an accident involving his own gun. It appeared that he had been loading and unloading the gun when it had tragically gone off in his hands. This was just two years following the tragedy of Moore’s sister.
