Unfortunately, life hasn’t been easy for Strauss since leaving the model house. After the shock passing of her friend, Jael’s own life started to crumble. Within just a few months she had become addicted to illegal substances and had found herself on the streets of Los Angeles. When fans heard of her struggles, they contacted Dr. Phil to stage an intervention. It worked, and she kicked the habit, but her troubles weren’t over. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, and tragically passed away just two months later at age 34.
