In 1996 Brown, Gill and Tresvant from New Edition collaborated on Whitney Houston’s song Somebody Bigger Than You and I along with Monica and Faith Evans. This gospel song was featured in Whitney’s movie The Preacher’s Wife and they all got to appear in the movie. The three New Edition members also were featured in season eight of the hit television show Family Matters. This may have sparked the next reunion of New Edition, however, this reunion didn’t feature all of the members of the band.
