Just so you know, this isn’t about a man who was forced to clean the home of his wicked stepsisters and stepmothers, aided only by a few helpful mice. Instead, it’s based on the story of James J. Braddock, a heavyweight champion in the sport. Cinderella Man follows a boxer who broke his right hand in the ring, leading to him retiring out of boxing during the Great Depression. But when he chanced upon a return to the ring, he became a boxing legend, capturing the hearts and emotions of everyone who watched him parry.
