If you want a film that loves its journalists while still also being historically accurate, then you need to watch The Post. It’s a movie that shows the efforts of journalists in 1971 to expose the true reason why the US was involved in the Vietnam War in the first place. It’s a deep piece, with elements of symbolism in place over minor historical inconsistencies. But nonetheless, The Post is a beautiful movie, and definitely a must-watch. After all, true history isn’t always wholesome; it can be downright gritty, too.
