In case you’re wondering, the word “Tora” comes from a Japanese sign for saying that a surprise attack was successful. That’s why Tora! Tora! Tora! is an appropriate name for a movie about Pearl Harbor; the US forces in Hawaii were surprised by the sudden Japanese attack. But other than the genius title, you should be in awe of the realistic aerial battles and ships that they used. In fact, the producers even used a vintage aircraft carrier! How’s that for props?
