While most chronicles of the ancient past are vague and inaccurate, Ironclad tries to be as close to the source text as possible. And, believe it or not, it goes to the point that it’s almost unrealistic. But that’s the point. If you deem ancient historical texts as perfectly realistic, then you get a movie like this. But nonetheless, the setting itself is entirely well done. And that includes the historical figures and major events. It’s almost like what would happen if things worked out in other ways.
