The theme tune of every movie is incredibly important. It sets the tone, it sets the mood, and it lets the viewers get a sneak peek into what they can expect.
To get the right sound for Blazing Saddles, Mel Brooks enlisted the help of Frankie Laine – a successful songwriter, musician, and singer. With a new project in tow, Laine assumed that Brooks’ movie was fast-paced and action-packed, just like every other Western. Although the theme tune was a little on the serious side, it’s still recognized today for that exact fact.
