Any filmmaker will know that taking your film to be screened in front of your executives is a difficult and stressful task – but Mel Brooks was so confident in his movie, he wasn’t worried.
Sadly, the chief executive of Warner Bros, Ted Ashley, had a few things to say about his creation. He wrote pages and pages of notes for Mel and the scenes he wanted to be cut. Although Mel listened to everything he said, he threw the notes in the trash as he walked out of the room.
