After the release of Blazing Saddles, Mel Brooks was inundated with compliments about his work, and it has since become known as one of the most famous and successful comedy movies of all time.
Because of this, he is incredibly proud of his achievements and hasn’t been able to stop himself from comparing his work to others. In fact, Mel believes that his movie is even better than the classic comedy Some Like It Hot. Although he has noted that Billy Wilder’s movie is hilarious, he thinks that his is even better.
