Freema had already made an appearance to the show back in 2006 but as Adeola. After both her appearances Freema quickly landed the lead role for Law & Order: UK. Her role came to an end in 2011 where Freema promptly moved on to playing Larisa, the fashion-following magazine editor, for the show The Carrie Diaries. Most recently the actress has been seen as Amanita Caplan for the Netflix sci-fi show Sense8, with her final appearance set to be in the finale next year. When not on screen, Freema spends her time acting alongside Stockard Channing on stage in Apologia.
