When the show was picked up to be regenerated in 2005 (much like the beloved lead character), Christopher Eccleston took the part of The Ninth Doctor. He only played The Doctor for a short time before the character was regenerated once again, but that didn’t stop Doctor number nine from becoming one of the most beloved. It all came to an end for The Doctor when he was forced to take Rose’s energy following the Dalek destruction.
