The Time Agent Captain came flying in from the 51st century where he had been working as the con man Javic Putor Thane. He gets tangled up with Rose and The Doctor, but things don’t end well for Jack as a Dalek ends up killing him. In a bid to save her new friend, Rose tried to save Jack but ends up accidentally making him immortal instead. Jack reappeared at various intervals over the show but eventually went on to star as the leading character in the spin-off of the show, Torchwood.
