Lillian Patterson, played by the wonderful Polly Holliday, is Jill’s mother – also known as “Nana”. Before she appears on the show, Tim often makes fun of her weight on his show, Tool Time.
But when she finally makes an appearance, she is discovered to be thin again, and claims it were Tim’s jokes that motivated her to lose the weight. Lillian is a caring mother and grandmother, often supportive of Jill whenever she experiences trouble.
