Other than her role as Delores in Home Improvement, Shirley Prestia had guest roles in other high profile comedies such as Suddenly Susan, Will and Grace, Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The War at Home.
However, having being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2004, the actress had decided to retire from acting to focus on her health. After battling with the illness for eight years, Shirley sadly passed away in 2011, but will always be remembered for her brilliant ability to make us laugh.
