The Patriot centers around the American Revolution, but there are a number of issues with the way they depict what happened. They make it seem like the British were brutal savages who committed acts such shooting minors, and burning down churches.
The problem is that there isn’t any evidence to support that they did such acts. People also say that Francis Marion (played by Mel Gibson), “The Swamp Fox,” was portrayed in a much more positive light than he actually was in reality.
