Sadly, Walt Stubbs announced that the plans could take up to 25 years if they were left to build it all themselves. Mark didn’t want to wait that long as the fire department held a dear spot in his heart. Mark’s father had found himself being rescued by volunteer firefighters not once, but twice. Mark was determined to give back to the team that had saved his father’s life on more than one occasion so wanted to try and speed the proceedings along.
