Shirley was delighted that her son and daughter-in-law had been so charitable with their money. In fact, she stated in an interview that she was initially concerned for the pair after years of reading about people that couldn’t handle all the money and ended up losing it all after spending it on outrageous purchases. Shirley was so proud that the Hills had put their money towards amazing local causes. Shirley added that she was overjoyed the pair had remained grounded.
