David Byrne decided to ditch the shoes during his Coachella performance. Why? Who knows. The rest of the band coordinated in matching grey suits. The overall effect was more elder statesman at his nephew’s Bar Mitzvah, but he seemed to be having fun, so we’ll give him props for doing his thing.
It’s been an exciting year for the former Talking Heads member, who released his first album in 14 years in January 2018. So really, maybe he deserved to kick his shoes off and go gray, just this once.
