Maddie Ziegler was one of the few dancers that appeared in the first episode of the series. As if that wasn’t enough, she also stayed with Abby until halfway through season six. However, Maddie and Abby’s relationship often caused a lot of tension between the dancers and the other moms. Many accused the coach of choosing Maddie as her favorite, especially because she was frequently elected to be at the top of the pyramid over all the other girls.
