Cathy Nesbitt-Stein began the series as a dance mom, bringing her daughter Vivi-Anne to Abby’s studio. But she soon left and decided to start her own studio called the Candy Apple’s Dance Center. The Candy Apples soon became bitter rivals with Abby’s team, and fans loved seeing the rivalry and competition between Abby and Cathy. While she was originally only supposed to be featured during the first season, she became such a huge hit that producer brought her back for four more seasons.
