It’s not that Ted Mosby wasn’t liked – after all, he was the main character of a hit sitcom, and never got ousted off the show. It was more the fact that he was so darn frustrating to watch. He started off as a lovable character looking for the love of his life, and at first viewers at home were able to relate to him. But as the seasons passed, people started to notice a certain pattern in his behavior that was very hypocritical. Ted claims to want a serious relationship, and yet he treats his girlfriends badly, pines for a woman who constantly rejects him (Robin), and finds himself looking for one night stands alongside his womanizer friend Barney. So what gives?
