For the most part, 24 was an adrenaline-pumping, edge-of-your-seat show about the exploits of Agent Jack Bauer protecting America from terrorists. Why did we say “for the most part” back there? Because of Kim Bauer. Jack’s daughter, played by Elisha Cuthbert, might be the dumbest character in television history. She can’t seem to stop getting herself into mortal peril – at one point almost getting eaten by a cougar. Yes, the animal. To stretch the boundaries of disbelief even further, she joins Bauer’s agency, the Counter Terrorist Unit – possibly because they ran out of target practice dummies.
