In 2014, private investigator Ron Tebo accused Theresa of being a fraud, calling her “a vulture, preying on the most vulnerable.” He claimed the medium uses “cold reading” techniques, something known to be done by mentalists, in order to make the audience members think she knows more about them than she actually does. Theresa denied the accusations, and replied saying, “Negative people need drama like it was oxygen. Stay positive… and take their breath away.”
