Even though they may not help finish all the rooms in one go, that doesn’t mean the couple will walk away and leave the rest of the house in a state for the family to fix themselves. A lot of the times, the families will focus on the main room they need and then prioritize the rest of the house when they have more money. When it’s time to do the rest of the house, the couple will return to help out with the renovations. This also works on a much different budget as it is a business deal and not a TV show.
