Although you may be able to recreate the look in your own home for a smaller budget, that doesn’t mean you can waltz onto the show with a few dollars in your pocket. Chip and Joanna don’t come cheap, and they require any participants on the show to have a budget of at least $30,000 to spend on renovating the home. This doesn’t even include the price of purchasing the property to start with! Incredibly, many families actually have a much higher budget.
