Fixer Upper is funded entirely by Chip and Joanna Gaines unless HGTV wants a specific project to be featured on the show. Although it may sound as though the couple are taking a huge risk by using their own money, they are the ones to receive the entire budget form the family they are helping. To top it off, HGTV also pays the pair a fee for each episode they put out. As if that wasn’t enough, the network will cover a bonus feature for each house they renovate.
