People got very upset in 2016 when they found out that Chip and Joanna attend a conservative church that is against LGBT marriage. Buzzfeed reported the story, and then conservative websites called them out for shaming the couple. Interestingly enough, amidst all of the noise, Chip and Joanna kept quiet, and later released a statement that “disagreement is not the same as hate.” They further said that they operate from a place of love, and aren’t interested in “throwing stones” at one another.
