Although Jose was relieved to know what had been hidden in his backyard, he had a few questions. For starters, how did it get there? Well, a paleontologist by the name of Alejandro Kramarz gave Jose that answer to that question.
According to his findings and his beliefs, the glyptodon animal had either become stuck in a small cave underneath the ground or had taken itself there to hide. However, the animal’s large shell had been its downfall, and it perished in the cave. All that was left of it was the fossilized shell.
