Farmer discovers huge object and is surprised by what it turns into

Before the archeologists had managed to get hold of the relevant equipment and diggers to truly excavate the egg-like object, many of the local residents wanted to get involved. The residents turned up in makeshift teams with their tools in hand and helped remove piles of dirt and mud.

The all hands on deck approach seemed to work, as with each passing day, more and more of the unidentified object was revealed. As this happened, the excitement around the city rose, with more and more people coming to visit the site.
