Slowly but surely, the archaeologists managed to uncover more of the object and were able to make their own predictions on its identity. After a while, they came to believe that Jose had an ancient fossil buried in his garden.
In the past, other residents and researchers had found smaller fossils in and around the area, so the archeologists believed this to be similar or the same. This still backed up Jose’s belief, that the object was indeed a dinosaur egg.
