Lauren Wellman serves in the White House under President Fitz Grant. She works for him personally as one of his assistants alongside Louise. She has a tough job because as the assistant of Fitz she is constantly bombarded by his wife Mellie to find out his schedule and even change his schedule without his permission. She is also in charge of keeping Cyrus, the Cheif of Staff, and Mellie out of the Oval Office at all costs when the President wants alone time.
