After the success of Woodstock in 1969, the 1970s was full of those who were suffering from post-Woodstock blues. They didn’t want to acknowledge the fact that the iconic, once-in-a-lifetime festival had come to an end, so they decided to embody these vibes in their style.
Men and women walked down the street with their flowing dresses, their wide-legged trousers, their headbands, and their long hair – and they seemed to love it. While this fashion changed as the decade went on, the early ‘70s were full of hippies.
