Rajah enlisted the help of a very special team to pull off his trick. To begin, Robert Eck would serve as the head of the box, while a dwarf would be dressed up as the feet.
However, once the “body” was sawed in half, Robert’s twin, Johnny, would take over as the head. Johnny had been born with sacral agenesis meaning he had undeveloped feet and legs. The performer would then use his arms to chase around the dwarf in the box to give the illusion of two halves of a person.
