For many years, the Guinness Book of Records has noted all kinds of unbelievable records. From the longest fingernails to the world’s biggest pillow fight – this book has seen it all.
However, back in 2012, Chandra Bahadur Dangi was recorded as the shortest man in history. The star measured in at 1-foot-9-and-a-half-inches tall. Chandra lived in a remote village in Nepal where he soon went on to appear at events all around the world until he passed away in September 2015.

Although he is two inches taller than his predecessor, Junrey Balawing now holds the title for the smallest living person on the planet. Junrey lives in the Philippines where he grew up in an underprivileged family, funded by his blacksmith father.
His parents claim that Junrey stopped growing when he was just one-year-old. Although he was named as the shortest man, Junrey lost out on the title to Chandra in 2012. However, after Chandra’s passing, Junrey reclaimed his title once more.
