Jeanna de Waal is another fresh face of the series, who had previously appeared in an episode of the TV Land comedy The Jim Gaffigan Show. Prior to her Iron Fist role, she also wrote, produced, directed, and acted in a short romantic comedy film titled Swept, where she plays a germaphobe named Kate who has to brave a first date at the place she dreads most, the bowling alley. The German-born actress has also had several roles on-stage, and was in Broadway’s award-winning “Kinky Boots” back in 2013.
