Alessa, who also goes by the name Bride of the Nine Spiders, was played by Jane Kim in the episode Immortal Emerges from Cave. Alessa, who is an entomologist aka an insect specialist, was conducting research on spiders in her lab when she received an invitation from the Hand to go up against the Iron Fist. Alessa proves to be a master martial artist who uses her fighting skills along with poisonous spider venom and seduction to defeat her opponents, and was even close to defeating the Iron Fist.
