Despite her seemingly happy marriage with Ladd, Ree has been quick to shut down fans and readers who have dubbed her relationship ‘perfect’ – as Ree will be the first to state that her relationship has just as many problems as other people’s’ relationships. During an interview with The New Yorker, Ree’s mother spoke about her daughter’s marriage and stated that it was incredibly different to the traditional marriages within Western ranch culture. Ladd is just as involved in their marriage as Ree is, and he always gives her time to work on her own projects. In fact, he even helps her create ideas for her blog.
