Blake stayed in Ada until his teens, learning to play beautiful music along the way. He began singing as a child, and when he was 12, his uncle taught him how to play the guitar.
At age 15, Blake wrote his first song, and quickly started getting noticed after that, even getting gigs in local bars. At age 16, he received a Denbo Diamond Award. Encouraged by this, he moved to Nashville, TN at age 17 to begin his career as a musician.
