David Archuleta was a shy and baby-faced 17 year-old when he appeared as a contestant on American Idol. Archuleta wowed the judges and audience week after week with his outstanding performances and amazing vocals. Archuleta was the favorite to win, however, he was the runner up to David Cook. Although he did not win the competition, Archuleta went onto to have a bigger career than Cook. He released his debut album in 2009 and was the opening act for Demi Lovato’s tour.
