Although we should have known that onions have layers from real life, we have mostly learned our onion knowledge from Shrek – and we’re totally fine with that. Just like Shrek, onions have a heck load of layers that you have to peel before you can get to the goodness inside, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Whether you use the goggle technique, the spoon technique, or whether you just let the tears flow, we all have our ways to remove the outer layer. Or the second outer layer.
