Even phone conversations are monitored by the parents. Jim Bob and Michelle are members of every chat group between their children and their other halves. Private communication is strictly prohibited in the Duggar household, and it stays that way until their kids walk down the aisle.
Once they’re married, they relax their responsibility, believing that their children are mature enough to know how to behave now that they have a husband or wife. Plus, they have no issue with their kids consummating things once they’re married.
