For TBBT there wasn’t too much preparation to get into character for Wil as he was cast to play himself, but with a twist. He and Sheldon don’t see eye to eye for the majority of his time on TBBT, but the two have since been able to move past all the angst. In real life, Wil Wheaton became a star after his role in the movie, Stand By Me, where he acted next to Rob Reiner. Anne, his loving wife, has also done some acting herself, including her roles in her husband’s web show TableTop, and the Sharknado franchise.
