There wasn’t a lot of practice for Michael as he played the character he can work best for TBBT: himself. Michael has been to space twice in his life, and sticks with the theme on the show; it is Michael that makes contact with Howard when he’s getting ready for his NASA trip. When he was floating around our atmosphere, his wife, Carola Pardo, was busy looking after the couple’s two children. Thankfully Michael made it home safely from space both times, and the pair have gone on to enjoy 25 years as husband and wife.
