John Altman took on the infamous role of Nick Cotton in 1985, and he became a recurring character until 2015. In fact, he was given his very own spinoff show at one point, so the Eastenders villain could get the ending he really deserved.
Since then, John has continued to act here and there, but he has also taken up a new career. In 2010, he took over from Gary Holton as the lead singer of the famous band, Heavy Metal Kids. He still performs with them today.
