Deepak Verma first took on the role of Sanjay Kapoor in 1993, and it’s fair to say that his character was one to watch. During his five-year reign in Albert Square, fans at home got to know who he was and what he was about – and there were two things that he loved more than most.
He particularly enjoyed gambling, but he also had an eye for the ladies. This often got him on the wrong side of the people of Walford, and he even gets arrested at one point. The Kapoor family eventually decide to leave the town.
