If you cast your mind back to 1985, you might remember a character by the name of Lofty Holloway. This man was introduced to us during the third episode of Eastenders, and he managed to keep us entertained for a whopping three years.
Known to his family as George Holloway, this character was given the nickname of “Lofty” because of his larger-than-average height. Much of his life in Albert Square revolved around his relationship with Michelle Fowler, and his job behind the bar at the famous Queen Victoria pub.
