Many past lottery winners have given donations to their church, however Marie’s was one of the largest in U.S. history. Lottery winners from Boston and Tennessee have previously donated to the church with a winner from Boston donating around $100,000 just to pay for a community Christmas dinner. While these are all kind gestures, none of them could compare to the amount of money that Marie pledged to her church.
