On October 14, 2018, Makena Lautner uploaded this photo to her Instagram feed. This photo was taken a year earlier when she was getting prepped for her first surgery.
After undergoing huge changes in her life since this surgery, Makena wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of those who were involved. She wanted to thank her support system and her friends and family, but most of all she wanted to thank the team of doctors who have worked tirelessly to not only ensure the operation was a success, but also the recovery.
