Rob Brown, Carter’s father, was struggling to cope with the news of his son’s death. However, he still had three other children that needed his love. Both Rob and Kelly needed everyone’s support if they were going to make it through the tragedy. Rob had previously worked as a coach at James Buchanan High School where Kaylee and Carter had both studied. They knew they needed to tell the school what had happened. After all, the teachers needed to be there for Kaylee, too.
